EFFECTIVE WAYS TO SMOOTH ROUGH LEG SKIN

Having smooth foot skin makes you free to use open shoes.  Unfortunately, some people continue to have problems with dry, rough foot skin.  To be free from this condition, how to overcome it?  Take a peek at various ways to smooth the rough foot skin to make it softer and make you regain the following confidence.

Dry skin is a skin problem that almost many people complain about.  Not only in the hands, this disorder also often attacks the soles of the feet so that the skin becomes peeling, rough, and itchy.

Dry skin conditions occur because the skin loses moisture from sebum (oil) and water.  The causes vary from aging, hot weather, water-related activities, to skin problems such as eczema.

If you want dry and rough skin back smooth, you can try various ways to overcome them, including:

Use a moisturizer

An effective way to smooth rough skin is to use a foot moisturizer regularly.  Most people do not apply moisturizer to the soles of the feet.  In fact, all parts of the feet really need to be moisturized to keep skin soft. Moisturizer acts as a water lock on the skin so the skin does not dry out.  So, it is very effective if used after bathing or washing feet.  You also need to apply moisturizer on the feet before going to bed so that the skin is soft the next day. If your skin is very dry to peel, choose a moisturizer that contains urea or lactic acid.  Both of these active ingredients are very strong to hold water in the skin.

Change soap or cleaning products

If you have dry skin, you need to replace soap and other cleaning agents.  This is a powerful way to smooth skin not only on the feet, but all the skin on your body.  Why do you need to replace the soap? Not all soap sold on the market contains the same ingredients.  There are some of them containing harsh chemicals that can get rid of your skin’s moisture. Choose soap that is formulated for dry skin.  Avoid ingredients such as fragrance and additional dyes that can irritate the skin.

Exfoliate

Exfoliation is a technique for removing foot skin cells that have accumulated.  You can also try this technique as a way to smooth rough skin. You only need to prepare, warm water, sugar, and honey.  Mix all ingredients in one container then soak your feet for 10 to 15 minutes.  Then, rub the feet with pumice gently and rinse thoroughly. Next, dry the feet and immediately apply a moisturizer.  Although it can smooth rough skin, you shouldn’t overdo it.  Just do it 1 or 2 times a week regularly.

Don’t let your feet get wet

The last way you need to do to smooth the skin of the feet is to limit the activities that make your feet wet for a long time.  This includes bathing for too long, soaking too long, washing, or having a bath. Exposure to water can make wrinkled foot skin making it easier to peel and become rough.  So, you should not take a bath or bath for more than 15 minutes and use sandals when swimming and washing.

If this skin problem doesn’t improve, don’t hesitate to consult a doctor.  The doctor will conduct an examination and determine the cause.  That way, you will know the most appropriate way to deal with dry and rough foot skin.
